This does not have any sexually explicit scenes, however it does have some harsh language. Just a warning, for those who care.
Here is Greenwood: Love's boundaries
By: Phillip Masters
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kazuya looked out the window at the oncoming dark clouds. His auburn hair blew slightly in the calm, yet chill, breeze. He reached up and slid the window shut, while the first spats of rain became apparent. It didn't rain this much at Greenwood, he reflected for a moment.
The four of them, Kazuya, Shinobu, Mitsuru, and Shun, had agreed to take a trip to China for a week. Kazuya didn't know much about China, just what he had learned in history.
A jagged spear of lightning interrupted his revery. A rolling thunder passed through the inn, shaking the window before him.
"Ska?" Came a meek, familiar voice from behind him.
"Shun-san?"
"I... I'm scared."
Kazuya's eyes widened a fraction. He turned about, to see Shun shaking slightly. He gulped a little at how cute and feminine his friend looked. "Your what?"
Shun looked at the floor. "I hate being away from home. Storms just seem to become more ominous.
"Hey, Shun-san! Don't worry, everyone of us is here with you. Even if we aren't in Japan."
Shun smiled a little at him. He felt his heart skip, it was like a girl was smiling at him. This always made him uneasy. However, he knew better, and calmed down a bit. Shun came up beside him and pressed against his side. "Your my best friend you know, Ska." He purred.
Kazuya went frigid. Then he laughed. "Yea, you too Shun! Come on, let's go see what everyone's up to."
Shun nodded and leaned away from Kazuya. They both walked to the door and opened it. Outside in the hall was a sight that was becoming quite commonplace. Mitsuru was having an extended sparing contest with another tenant. Kazuya and Shun looked on, bored, at the martial arts extravaganza. The oppressor was a one Ranma Saotome of the Anything Goes School of Martial Arts. Anything went all right. Furniture, weapons, foodstuffs, and even other people were being used in the match. Shinobu was slowly munching popcorn as he watched the fight. The look on his face indicated... well, this is Shinobu we're talking about here.
Ranma landed a clean blow to Mitsuru's forehead, sending him flying through the wall. Ranma looked victorious for a moment. Then, Mitsuru came flying back, as if bounced. Ranma's eyes widened as he was introduced to a 'boot to the head'. Now it was Ranma's turn to fly the friendly skies. Of course, if you have ever seen any Ranma you realize, he is heading for the nearest cold water. Through the window he crashes, into the pouring rain. Mitsuru got a smug look on his face. However, it was not over, for now a red headed girl came leaping though the ex-window. She made straight for poor Mitsuru with a flying kick. Mitsuru, caught of guard by this sudden appearance of a vicious, and delicious, woman that he takes the full brunt of the kick. The inn began to resemble Swiss cheese as Mitsuru removed some more pesky wall. He groaned as he regained his footing. Ranma stepped warily though the hole in the wall.
"You give up?" Called out Ranma to the darkness.
"Never." Came the reply.
Ranma shot to the side as she sensed Mitsuru. His foot went past Ranma, who came back with a roundhouse. It connected with Mitsuru's arm, him having thrown it up in defense. He then brought his hand down, grabbing Ranma's leg. He yanked it downward, causing her to lose her balance.
"Who the hell are you, bitch!?" He cried in frustration.
"Who do you think I am, you thick headed bastard!" Ranma shot back.
Kazuya and Shun had joined Shinobu and were all munching happily on popcorn.
"This is what I call entertainment." Commented Kazuya
Shun and Shinobu just nodded their agreement. The fight went on for twenty more minutes, until it was dinner time. A bell was sounded to alert the tenants of this fact. Ranma and Mitsuru stopped almost instantaneously and headed for the mess hall. The audience also got up to follow them.
"Your a pretty good fighter." Praised Mitsuru as they entered the dining area.
"You too. I hope to continue our match at a later date." Returned Ranma.
"Are you Ranma's sister, or something?"
"No, I'm Ranma."
Mitsuru stopped in his tracks. Kazuya proceeded to walk straight into his back with a muffled grunt.
"That's impossible."
Ranma turned to look at Mitsuru. "Oh." She went to a table and picked up a kettle of tea. She then poured it over her head. Everyone's jaw introduced themselves to the floor. Ranma put down the kettle. "See?" He said in a husky voice. Then he muttered: "Damn, that was hot."
"How?" Came Shun.
"It is a curse from a nearby spring. Jusenkyo." A dramatic thunder clasp accented the last word. "My old man and I trained there. I fell into the "Spring of Drowned Girl". He fell into the "Spring of Drowned Panda". Very tragic story indeed." This last phrase was said in loose, accented Japanese. "Now whenever we get hit with cold water we turn into our respective forms. Hot water'll reverse it."
The group from Greenwood digested this information, along with more than their share of the main course.
Something nagged at Shun. "Where is you pop?"
Ranma looked up from concentrating on his 'shovel method'. "He hasn't stopped sulking since he got turned into a panda."
"Oh."
They all finished eating, and retired to bed. The group from Greenwood kept the same sleeping arrangement as they had back at the dorm. Shun and Kazuya to one room, Shinobu and Mitsuru to another.
"Shun-san?" Said Kazuya as they settled in to their beds.
"Yes, Ska?"
"You feel better now?"
"Hmm." Came Shun's reply. It was an affirmation, but a loose one.
"What's the matter?"
"Well... no, it's nothing. Don't worry about it."
"What? It is obviously bothering you."
"Well, I was thinking about Ranma."
"What about him?"
"It's just that... well, he got turned into a woman."
"Right..."
"And I look like a woman, but am a man."
"Something I have always found strange." This was said in jest.
Shun chuckled. "I seem to be a woman in every way, except for the obvious differences."
"I can't say it wasn't odd at first, but I got used to it. You are my best friend now."
Shun smiled in the darkness. "I know, Ska. I feel the same way. It's just that sometimes I get feelings that scare me."
"What kind of feelings?"
"I... I.. I'm kinda embarrassed to talk about it."
"Shun-san, like I just finished saying, you are my best friend. You can tell me anything."
"Well, promise not to get upset."
"I promise. Just spit it out allready."
"Well, sometimes I feel feelings toward other guys, that aren't to manly. If you follow me."
Silence answered him for a while. Then, "Who? Who are these feelings for?"
Shun shut his eyes, his heart started to beat faster. "You Ska."
Another unbearable silence drifted through the still room. "What kind of feelings are they Shun?"
"Attraction, sometimes bordering on love." Shun almost whispered the last part.
Shun heard a squeak, Kazuya was rising from his bed. A moment later the light went on. Shun blinked at the sudden burst of illumination. He looked up to see Kazuya staring at him. It was difficult to gauge the look on his face.
"Kazuya?" Pleaded Shun.
"When I first saw you," started Kazuya, "I thought you were one of the most beautiful women I had ever seen. When I found out you were really a man, I felt a little crestfallen. However, I got over this and just became content with being your friend. Yet no matter how many times I saw you as a man, I couldn't put that picture of you as a woman out of my mind. Every time I see you with clothes on, you seem just like a female. I can't deny that I hold feeling for you Shun, I was afraid of what it would do to our friendship if I voiced this to you."
Shun's heart skipped a beat, or two, as he heard this. A tear came to his eye. "Ska-kun." He whispered.
"Shun-chan." Replied Kazuya as he walked over to his bed.
He sat down next to Shun and stared into his eyes. They were bright and vibrant, partly from crying. However, Kazuya saw through the tears and into Shun himself.
Shun sat up and took Kazuya's hands into his own. "You don't feel this is wrong?"
Kazuya, in response, leaned forward and kissed Shun full on the lips. The two held this for a while before breaking.
Kazuya looked downward. "I... I am in love with you. Yet, I am in love with a female you."
Shun looked at Kazuya with pity. "I know. I wish I could become a woman, a real one."
They sighed together. Then, an obvious answer flooded both their minds simultaneously.
"Jusenkyo!" They cried in unison.
Shun hugged Kazuya in a tight embrace. Kazuya, in his elation, didn't notice Shun's male features pressing against him. Kazuya's hand fell onto Shun's leg. He felt Shun draw in a sharp breath. They pulled apart from each other, yet his hand still remained. It felt so feminine. Shun shaved his legs to keep the female appearance when he wore shorts. They fell back onto the bed, Kazuya rubbing Shun's leg. They kissed and held each other tightly, but they went no further than this.
A loud crash awoke Kazuya the next morning. His eyes shot open to reveal the morning sunlight. He sat up, his mind a little wishy-washy. His arm bumped into someone laying next to him. He looked down to see Shun sleeping. His light hair was laying across his face and strewn about his shoulders. It was very sexy. Kazuya leaned down to place a kiss on his forehead. Shun's eyes fluttered open. He smiled as he recognized who was in front of him. He stretched as he moved the kiss to the mouth.
They separated. "Good morning, Shun-chan." He said lightly as he brushed the hair from Shun's face. "How did you sleep, Ska?"
"Very well, you?"
"Like a baby."
"I can hear Ranma and Mitsuru at it again, we don't want to miss that."
They both arose and got dressed. The usual sight greeted them in the hall. Ranma flew in front of the two of them, followed quickly by Mitsuru. The dueling duo stopped to throw a few choice kicks and punches at one another. Shinobu, as usual, sat in front of his and Mitsuru's room watching. Shun and Kazuya once again joined him.
"So who's winning?" Asked Shun.
"No one." Answered Shinobu. "They are evenly matched. If something doesn't happen soon, I am going to go teach them a lesson."
A few minutes, and a few failed attacks, later Shinobu decided to make good his threat. "That's it." He declared, and stood up. He rolled up his sleeves and approached the two combatants. Once he got between them he stated, All right, now let me show you how it's really done."
Two seconds later, Shinobu went flying through the door next to Kazuya and Shun. He came running back out looking a little more peeved. Five seconds later he made a return flight. This loop went on until Kazuya wondered if Shinobu was getting any frequent flyer miles. Finally the breakfast call brought short the display of acrobatics. They all collected in the dining room. This time it was a little different, an eight foot panda sat at the table.
It looked up and grunted at them. Ranma looked a little upset. "Pop! Why don't you change back?"
The panda held up a sign: 'I like this form'.
"What?" Asked Ranma incredulously.
The panda flipped the sign. 'I said, I like this form.'
Ranma rolled his eyes and sat next to his father. They all ingested breakfast at their usual pace, approaching the speed of light. Some scientists probably would have been interested in the display. The mass in the room actually rose while they ate from the increased speed. Mere seconds before Ranma began time travel, the food ran out. He looked disappointed.
"Ranma." Started Shun.
"Yes?" He returned.
"Could you tell me how to get to Jusenkyo?"
Ranma spit out his water. "What?!"
"How do you get to Jusenkyo from here?" He repeated.
"Why do you want to go there?"
Shun glanced at Kazuya. He nodded his head. "I want to use a spring."
Ranma, Mitsuru, Shinobu, and even Mr. Panda spit water across the table. Ranma grimaced as he transformed.
"What spring?"
"I'm not sure exactly, I want to peruse them first."
Ranma stared blankly. "To what end?"
"I want to become female, but I don't want to look different."
Ranma was totally lost, to the point that she couldn't respond.
"What Shun is trying to say," put in Kazuya "is that he wants to become a she. Much like you, except no change in facial features."
Ranma looked back and forth between the two. "Why... Did you say HE?!"
"Yes, I am a man. I just appear to be female from the outside."
Ranma got up and walked to Shun. He then pulled a Nabiki.
"Hey!" Shun squeaked indignantly, rubbing his chest.
"Well I'll be damned." Ranma muttered.
He stared at him for a moment longer, than retook his seat. He looked lost in thought.
"Well?" Shun was beginning to lose patience.
Mitsuru, who had been strangely quiet, spoke up. "Shun. I had no idea you really wanted to be a woman."
Shun looked down. "Well, I really didn't, not until..."
"Until what?"
"Until last night." This came from an even voiced Shinobu.
Shun and Kazuya's eyes went wide at hearing this. They both turned to Shinobu, "How..?"
"I can see it in your chi. You both harbor feelings for one another. I had sensed this for a while, but now it is much stronger."
A silence descended unto the room. The only one who looked oblivious was Mr. Saotome. He was quietly munching on some bamboo. Ranma noticed this in passing, and knocked the bamboo away from his father. "What are you doing old man? Becoming a damn panda?!"
'Give a guy a break son, I'm hungry!' Came the literary reply.
"No excuse!"
"Growrr." Was his only response.
Ranma turned back to Shun. "Allright. I'll tell you. But! Be warned, for you must pass through an Amazon village to get there."
"What's so bad about that?"
"They don't take kindly to men. They also have a few customs that can catch you off guard if your not careful."
"We're always careful. We can handle ourselves."
"Your funeral." Ranma shrugged. "You just head due West from here. It's about an hour to the village. Then just a hop-skip-and-a-jump to the springs."
"Let's get going right away!" Exclaimed Shun excitedly.
"We must take our leave from you. We are heading back to Japan." Ranma said as he and Mr. Saotome rose from the table. "I'm not sure why pop wants to return there, but I'm sure he has a good reason. Something about visiting an 'old friend'. Doesn't concern me." Famous last words.
After a long good-bye, involving Mitsuru and Ranma trying to crush each other's hand, they split paths. The group from Greenwood went West, while Ranma and Genma headed East.
The four walked side by side down the little used path. Kazuya and Shun held hands. They figured, what the hell? Everyone knew, why not? It made them more comfortable anyway.
Their traveling companions curiosity finally got the better of them. They posed the question: "Did you guys... you know?"
Shun and Kazuya froze in the middle of the path. Kazuya evolved a very calm expression. "No we didn't."
"Oh." Mitsuru replied. Then, the topic was dropped.
A few more hours of silent walking, they came to a drop in the path. At the bottom of this valley was the village of Amazons they were told about.
"Looks kinda peaceful." Commented Kazuya.
Four Amazons leapt out of the surrounding foliage, leveling various weapons at the travelers. They were all very beautiful, and very pissed off.
"You were saying, dear?" Said Shun coldly.
"[You! What are you doing here?] One of the Amazons yelled.
NOTE: []=Chinese
"What?" Replied Shun.
"Oh, you are Japanese." She said in an apologetic tone. Then she gruffed up again. "I repeat, what are you doing here?!"
Shinobu took up the reigns. "We seek only to pass through your village. We seek Jusenkyo."
All the Amazons got shocked looks on their faces. The speaker was so upset she forgot to speak in Japanese. [That male spoke to us. Without permission from his woman!]
One of them calmed down a little. [They are different. We must put up with a little of this.]
[No! I cannot!] She switched back to Japanese. "You!" She said pointing at Shinobu. "You Detergent challenges to a duel!"
"Detergent?"
Detergent got a 'I-shall-now-destroy-you-with-a-thought' look on her face. Then she charged Shinobu. He stood there looking bored as he stared at the oncoming Amazon. At the last microsecond, he stepped aside and grabbed the extended spear she was holding. He braced his feet, lowered his center of balance, and lifted. Detergent was easily lifted from the ground, and flung unceremoniously into a nearby tree. There she lie, unconscious.
The other three Amazons looked shocked once more. They started to mutter amongst themselves. The group began to wonder what was going on. Then, they turned back to the adventurers. "You will come with me. I am Ivory, Detergent's elder sister."
"Is there a Proctor and Gamble around here, or what?" Shun mused.
"How did you know that?" Asked Ivory as she began to lead the way into the village.
"Lucky guess."
They all arrived at the village in tact. In fact, after the incident the villagers seemed very docile. "What is going on?" Asked Shun.
"You are being taken to see an elder."
"Look, I'm sorry about our little misunderstanding back there. We seek only to pass through your village." Pleaded Shinobu.
"You may not leave this village."
"What?!" Cried Mitsuru.
The Amazons gave him a cold stare. Then they addressed Shinobu. "You are now one of the tribe. You must wed Detergent immediately, or as soon as consciousness permits."
Shinobu stopped in his tracks. The trailing Amazon grunted as she walked into his back. "M... Married?" He stuttered, a look of pure terror crossing his face.
"Yes, that is Amazon law. Article 217, Page 2, Paragraph 6, Sub-Paragraph 8, Line 4, states that 'If any outside male defeats one of the tribe, said male must then wed the defeated tribe member immediately.'."
Shinobu looked dumbfounded at this news. Mitsuru elbowed him. He turned his head to look at his friend with a pale face.
Mitsuru leaned toward him and whispered, "I think this would be a good time to use a special technique that Ranma showed me."
"What's that?" Asked Shun, Shinobu unable to cogitate at the moment for himself.
"Anything Goes School of Martial Arts final attack!" He declared grandly. Everyone backed away a little from him. He grabbed Shinobu by the arm. "Run!" He screamed, and bolted off with Shinobu in tow.
The Amazons ran after the group as they made for the opposite side of the village. They probably would have made it, if not for one thing. As they saw the edge of the village, a stick was thrown to entangle Mitsuru's legs. He yelped as he and Shinobu fell forward to skid along the ground. Shun and Kazuya came to a halt behind them. Shinobu and Mitsuru rose from the ground dirty and groaning.
The stick thrower made herself visible. A withered old hag walked forward and retrieved her stick. "What are you doing?" She questioned.
Shun answered. "Escaping."
"Escaping what?"
As if to answer the question, the three pursuers finally caught up. "Wise one, this male has defeated Detergent. He must wed her at once!" Ivory claimed.
The 'wise one' looked Shinobu over. "Yes, this one has much potential. He will make a good husband and member of the tribe."
"Hey!" Protested Shinobu.
The old one cocked her head at him. "Yes, you object?"
"Of course I do! I don't want to get married yet!"
"But it is the law, and must be obeyed. Section..."
Yes, I know the law." Interrupted Shinobu. "I still don't want to get married!"
"Unfortunately young one, you have no choice in the matter."
Shinobu took up a fighting stance. "Don't make me hurt you. I do not want to be married!"
The Amazons around them looked shocked, they seemed to do that a lot today. The old woman did not look the least bit agitated. "Young one, I don't think you wish to do that."
"I don't want to hear it. Now let us go. Or I will be forced to fight you."
"All right, then fight me."
This brought Shinobu up a little short. He looked confused for a moment. While he contemplated this turn of events, the woman threw her staff at him. It struck him in the chest, left of the heart. Shinobu didn't even blink.
"Shinobu? What are you doing?" Asked Mitsuru.
He didn't answer. The old woman did for him. "He is paralyzed, he can't speak."
The group looked at Shinobu with wide eyes. He certainly seemed like he couldn't move a muscle. Mitsuru walked up to him and knocked him on the head. "Yep, he's pretty paralyzed allright." If you listened real closely you could have heard a low growl from the still figure.
"You have been defeated by the elder Cologne." Stated Ivory.
The non-paralyzed members of group choked and groaned. "Make it stop." Whined Shun.
The Amazons looked confused for a change. Then, a low rumble could be heard. Shinobu began to glow. Cologne raised her eyebrows at this. Shinobu then began to twitch a little. His hair stood on end with electrical energies.
Cologne jumped into the air a second before Shinobu through his hands up. An intense blue beam of light shot from his extended hands. The spear of energy lanced through the air. Four huts behind Cologne were blown apart from the inside out. Cologne landed in the trench dug into the ground by the chi blast. Shinobu stood in front of her, his shoulders in exaggerated movements. His breathing was ragged and drawn out. A moment later, he passed out.
"Shinobu!" Cried Kazuya and Mitsuru. Shun looked shocked, and unable to make a sound. The two ran up to their fallen comrade. He was alive at least.
"He fought well. Like I said, he will make a good husband." Cologne stated as if this happened on a regular basis.
The other Amazons looked relieved. Shun noticed this. "Why so calm all the sudden?" He asked.
Ivory answered. "I'm glad she didn't kill Detergent's husband. She would be upset."
"Oh. Where is Detergent anyway?"
"She is awake now. She is preparing to either get married, or hunt down her husband-to-be."
"Oh." Then he added under his breath, "Ask a silly question..."
"Here we are!" Ivory declared as we stopped in front of a hut larger than the rest.
"Where are we?" Asked Shinobu, having regained consciousness.
"We are where you are to be married. Now prepare to meet your bride."
"I just thought of something!" Proclaimed Kazuya.
All heads turned toward him. Shinobu looked hopeful. "Spit it out honey." Shun ordered.
"Well, Proctor and Gamble doesn't make cologne."
Face fault of the millennia ensued. Then followed the severe beating of one red haired boy.
"Ow." Muttered the indistinguishable heap on the ground.
The Amazons looked on in approval at Shun's show of strength over her male.
"You didn't leave me any!" Whined Shinobu.
"Sorry, I've always got first dibs on Ska."
Something resembling "Lucky me." came from the mess, now looking more like Kazuya. Finally he rose to his feet once more, although he did look the worse for wear.
"Okay, enough socializing. Let's go."
They all walked into the large building. Kazuya asked Ivory in passing, "How come you speak Japanese so well?"
"I had to learn it to go to Tokyo University."
Ivory left Kazuya with his jaw getting very fresh with the floor.
They sat in seats surrounding a battle arena, or what looked like a battle arena. There was a circle on the ground, filled with fine sand. There were two spears sticking out of the sand at opposing halves of the circle.
"What are we doing here? What is all this?" Asked Shinobu, afraid of the answer.
"You are to fight Detergent. You will beat her in front of the whole tribe and the elders. Then you will be officially wed."
"Oh. You mean if I don't beat her, I'm not married to her?"
"Yes."
Shinobu visibly deflated and loosened up. "Thank Kami-sama!"
"Yes, but you will be dead."
He became a tense wreck once more. He wasn't used to this kind of stress. "What am I going to do?" He asked no one in particular.
"You are going to beat her, then..."
"It was a rhetorical question!"
She just shrugged. "Whatever, you still have to win. Or lose, but your friends probably don't want to bury you today."
"Would you do it for us?" Asked Mitsuru.
This granted him a smack on the head from Shinobu.
An incredibly gnarled woman came into the ring. That seemed to be the constant around here: Beautiful young women, and gnarled old bats who probably couldn't be carbon dated any longer.
The fossil spoke. "I present to you the bride!"
Everyone rose. It was crowded in the gathering hall. The group didn't even notice all the people come in.
"Wow! Such a harem of gorgeous females!" Exclaimed Mitsuru, eyes glued on every jiggling bosom in the room.
Kazuya put his hands over Shun's eyes. "What?" He squeaked in protest.
"I don't want you realizing what your leaving behind."
He giggled. "Oh, Ska. I would never think of it. Not that I have you now." He turned in Kazuya's arms and put his around him. He planted a kiss on his lips, with no protest from the recipient. They held the kiss for a while before disengaging.
They found the eyes of about a hundred Amazons on them. "What?" Shot Shun. The Amazons turned away, to put their attention back to the double door that led deeper into the building.
The door had opened. In the passage outside the door stood one of the most beautiful women any of them had ever seen. Kazuya held Shun a little tighter as she stepped forward. She made her way to the center circle in a flowing white dress.
"A little occidental, isn't it?" Commented Kazuya. He felt Shun shrug his shoulders in response.
Detergent stopped in the middle of the circle. She then bowed to Shinobu, her eyes closed. She tore the dress from herself, revealing a tight battle suit. She opened her eyes, they seemed to bore straight through Shinobu. He managed to stay in his usual non-chalant pose.
Ivory poked him. "Get on in there." She whispered fiercely.
Shinobu stood, seeing no other option. Some of the women in the audience gasped as they saw him. He let a small grin reach his lips, he loved women' reactions to him. He stepped into the ring, never breaking eye contact with Detergent. The two competitors stood facing each other. Detergent walked over to the spears. She took one up. Then, she tossed the other to Shinobu. This raised some gasps from the audience.
"What did that mean?" Mitsuru asked Ivory.
"It is a traditional symbolic gesture that extends her want of him to beat her."
"She likes him?!"
"She loves him."
"But they just met!"
"Love works in mysterious ways."
Mitsuru looked at Shun and Kazuya and gave up that argument.
"Space, time, infinity, eternity, and forever, these are love's boundaries."
Mitsuru had to agree with that bit of wisdom. He turned his attention back to the ring. Detergent had taken up an attack posture. Shinobu held the staff at his side, not taken his eyes off his opponent. They stared once more at one another for a while. Then, Shinobu dropped his spear. The audience exploded. It took all of the elders to calm them down.
"Don't tell me, is that supposed to stand for something?" Asked Mitsuru.
"It means that he rejects her, and hates her." Ivory replied coldly.
"That's what I thought."
Detergent's eyes wavered a little, then became rock solid again. She leapt at Shinobu with a war cry that sent shivers down everyone's spine. Shinobu waited till the last possible second, then dropped to the ground. Detergent flew over him and smacked the sand. The tip of her spear broke off. Shinobu was not inactive on the ground however, he wrapped his legs around hers and took them out from under her. She slammed the sand with an 'oof'.
Shinobu then poked her in the back. She stopped her struggles. He stood up and brushed himself off. Not once did he flinch a facial muscle. The leading elder stood and declared the marriage legal and binding. Everyone got up and left in kind of a silence, they expected more.
"He beat her? Like that?" Ivory muttered in awe.
"Yea, you elder isn't the only one with knowledge of pressure points." Stated Mitsuru with pride in his voice.
Shinobu leaned down and undid the paralysis. Detergent stood up slowly, dusting herself off. She looked up at Shinobu standing over her. Then, she glomped onto him. "I knew you defeat Detergent!" She exclaimed.
Shinobu held her as well, causing Mitsuru's jaw to drop like a stone. "He accepted her!"
A small monk in the corner nobody really noticed said, "Such is fate." Then, he did a small prayer and left the building, no one saw him.
"Well, that about wraps it up, I guess." Said Kazuya.
"Can we continue on to Jusenkyo now?" Asked Shun.
"I don't see why not, good journey." Answered Ivory, rising and walking to her sister.
Mitsuru stared at his friend and new bride. "Seems all a bit anticlimactic, huh?"
"Hmm." Hmm'ed Kazuya. "Well, let's finish this nutso adventure shall we?"
"What about Shinobu?"
Shinobu spoke for himself. "You go on to Jusenkyo without me, I will see you when you return."
Mitsuru looked about to protest, then shut his mouth. "Okay, come on guys."
The three of them went outside, got there bearings, and headed East once more.
Once outside the village Kazuya started some conversation. "Wonder what got into Shinobu?"
"I have no idea. Love works in mysterious ways." Returned Mitsuru.
"No kidding." Kazuya answered, putting and arm around Shun.
"Kind of seems like our whole world is changing." Mitsuru whispered, mostly to himself.
The rest of the trip to Jusenkyo was covered in silence. Finally, after about a mile or so, they arrived. Countless pools of water, with poles sticking from them, stretched out before them all.
"Jusenkyo." Observed Kazuya.
At that moment, a small man, of large stature, and in a brown hat with a star upon it popped up in front of them.
"You are Japanese trainees?" The man said in broken Japanese.
Suddenly the group from Greenwood got Ranma's joke. "No, we are here for one of the springs." Explained Shun.
"Oh! Which spring you seek?"
"Actually, I seek the Spring of Drowned Girl."
"Oh, very tragic story indeed." This brought a few chuckles. The guide ignored them. "Of girl who drown there, um, well, about fifteen hundred year ago. Whoever fall into spring take body of young girl. This is spring you seek?"
"In a way. I was wondering, is there a way to change to a girl yet still retain your original features?"
"Hmm, yes. Not many come for this, but we have the means. However, it mean you must stay woman forever." The guide looked Shun up and down. "Are not you allready girl?"
"Tell me, how?"
"There is mystic bath beads. You put beads in spring, then..." He made a 'sploosh' noise. "Then, you look like do, but are female forever."
Wait, where are these bath beads?" Kazuya did not want to go to the far reaches of the Earth to get them.
The guide pulled some heart shaped bath beads out of his pocket and held them out to Kazuya. "Here are beads."
Kazuya looked extremely relieved. He reached for the beads. Shun intercepted his hand, and took the beads himself. "Which one is it?" Shun asked, looking out to the springs.
The guide did his namesake and led them to it. "Here is Nyanniichuan Have fun."
Shun tossed in the beads. Seconds later, the water turned pinkish, then bubbly.
Shun then pulled off his clothes. From the back he still looked like a woman. Kazuya didn't look at the front. It wouldn't matter soon anyway. Shun leapt into the spring. She turned toward the two left on shore. "Oh, it's tingling!" She exclaimed.
"That means it's working." Joked Kazuya.
Then, they all froze. She?! Sure enough, Shun now sported a pair of breasts. She looked down at them, curiously. "Feels kind of weird, yet natural."
"Well, I always said were you more girl than boy, Shun." Said Kazuya in jest.
"Oh, you!" Shun laughed, splashing water in his general direction.
Time froze. Gravity stopped pulling. Warlords in far off galaxies stopped and stared toward a small yellow dot in the distance that seemed to emanate great tension.
Mitsuru stood there, dripping water on the ground. She breathed lightly, her eyes wide. Kazuya had much the same wide eyed look on his face.
"Oops." Shun stated sheepishly.
